Welcome to The Circle of Learning Cross Curricular Sampler. This sampler is divided into four thematic lessons. Each cross-curricular lesson is based on a scientific theme. The philosophy of this sampler is that the transfer of knowledge learned in one subject area to other academic areas is very important. The workplace requires that individuals use information from various sources in order to be successful and so does education.

This first edition of The Circle of Learning includes the following units:

• Periodic Table
• The Food Guide Pyramid
• Weather Predictions

Each unit is divided as follows:

· Overview of the Cross-Curricular Lesson

· Language Arts, Writing Lesson

· Social Studies Lesson

· Science Lesson

· Language Arts, Writing Lesson

· Mathematics Lesson

After completing the overview of the lesson, you may proceed to any subject area. The choice is yours! You may teach the lessons in any order or may wish to incorporate all of the different subject areas into one lesson.
