"One out of every ten Americans struggles everyday because he or she can't read. We now  know many persons  can't read because  they have a learning  disability. The only  thing between them and the success they want is whether we're willing to change the ways we  help them."

This year, a new project is being implemented that will focus on the needs of students with learning disabilities in adult education programs. Bridges to Practice: Florida's Focus on Adults with Learning Disabilities will present training opportunities to personnel providing literacy and workforce development programs throughout Florida. This needs assessment will allow Bridges planners to anticipate specific training needs so that customized training may be planned and offered. Your input and comments are valued.
