There are some excellent resources that may be useful to you as you begin to navigate through the information about learning theory as it relates to the adult student.

Take a few minutes to review the summary about adult learners that is linked below. Keep in mind the students in your ABE classroom. Most likely you have both younger and more mature students in your class.
You should also explore the website links and, if available, read some of the suggested publications.
