If you would use a combination of techniques for putting the bicycle together, you would be considered to be multi-modality - comfortable with a mix of modalities and not preferring one or the other.

When it comes to learning, students usually have a preference for how they wish to receive the information. If the information is conveyed to them in their preferred modality, they have a much better chance of understanding the information.

The following link will take you to the VARK learning style inventory, "The VARK Questionnaire - How Do I Learn Best?" This learning style inventory is available online at no cost to students. It is also available in print. Take a few minutes to complete the VARK inventory. Print your results and include them in your folder. Pay attention to the types of questions that are asked in the inventory.
