Attendance Records

Auditors will also view attendance records when determining whether or not a student was eligible for funding. It is sometimes inconvenient to take attendance when you have students entering your classroom at different times; however, accurate attendance records are a must!

The auditor will be looking to see that:

  • There is an established, written process for taking and maintaining attendance records
  • All programs follow the procedure without deviation
  • The procedures are based on sound practices and State Board of Education Rules
