Module 3 - Compliance Responsibilities

Many veteran administrators will remember the days of "Performance and Compliance" Reviews.  Those reviews were conducted to ensure that all programs were meeting the basic requirements as set forth in State Board of Education Rules.  Performance and Compliance Reviews were typically conducted on five-year cycles.  A group of peer reviewers and representatives from the Florida DOE would descend upon a local adult education provider and visit programs, review paperwork and examine local policies and procedures.  Performance and Compliance Reviews provided adult educators with a check on how they were doing.

With the implementation of Senate Bills 1688 and 1124, the whole focus of adult education changed, as did the funding formulas.  Performance and Compliance Reviews became a thing of the past.

This module of "In Search of Compliance" will focus on areas that address specific issues and requirements related to areas that effect funding of your adult programs either directly or indirectly.
