What Type of Learner Were You?

The learning styles inventory that you just took was one of many available on the web or in print. This inventory outlined three primary perceptual learning styles or modalities:

Visual
Auditory
Tactile/Kinesthetic

Time for Research
What Type of Learners Are Your Students?

It's not enough to just know your own learning style. What learning style are your students? If you haven't done so already, print the Adult Modalities Inventory and have the students in your class complete this short questionnaire. Have each student calculate how many items he/she checked in each area. Take a survey of the learning styles in your classroom. Were you surprised at what learning style was most prevalent in your classroom? Was the classroom's major learning style the same as yours? Different?

Transfer the information from your short research study to the form below. When you have finished, send the form to the course facilitator.
