Where Can I Go From Here?

Most adult education teachers have not been trained in the area of learning disabilities. However, you have taken an important step in learning more about learning disabilities by completing this web-based training. Just like change, which is ongoing, so is learning.

There are numerous resources available to assist you in your continuing professional development in the area of learning disabilities. The Florida's Bridges to Practice website has numerous resources available such as a Question and Answer section, the Resources for Adults with Learning Disabilities section, and a periodical newsletter - Practitioners' Points. You may wish to take a few minutes to read these invaluable sources of information.

To complete this training, you must complete a short summary activity, the posttest, and evaluation form and send your results to your Region.

This program was developed by Dr. Rochelle Kenyon, Project Director, Florida Bridges to Practice, through an Adult Education State Leadership Grant from the Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education.

Content development by Dr. Rochelle Kenyon, Susan Pittman and Bonnie Vondracek. Web design and development by Dr. Debra L. Hargrove.
