Note: This course was developed prior to the release of GED 2002; however, it contains
valuable information that will be of use to current GED Administators, especially those who were Administrators prior to 2002 and want a quick refresher course on the changes in GED 2002.

Preparing for Change: What's New in GED 2002?

As an administrator, what do you want to know about the GED 2002 Series Tests?

Very simply, you probably what to know:

  • How will the changes impact my students and teachers?
  • How will the changes impact my center’s ability to show performance, a.k.a how about those Literacy Completion Points?

As you work through this inservice component, you will be developing a checklist and a timeline. Think of this as your pre-planning session. By the time you finish, you should know some of the most important things you need to do to prepare for the GED 2002.

Watch for items with a   beside them.  Add those items to your “Preparing for Change: "What's New in GED 2002" To Do List.”

At the upper right of this page, you will see the "Jump to . . . " box with a pull-down menu. Use that menu now to jump to and read Receiving Your Inservice Points and then jump to the Pretest. (Your score will not count towards your final grade.) When you have finished the Pretest, jump to The More Things Change, the More They Remain the Same!
