Print Copy for Teachers

Print a copy of the matrix.  You may wish to give this to your teachers now.  This is one thing that teachers can start using today.  It is easier to understand and if teachers can help students score 3 or 4 on the new matrix, they will do very well on the existing 6-point scale.  One more thing-there is a new acronym included in the chart.  There is no need for concern.  EAE simply stands for Edited American English, just another way to say the student understands and uses correct rules of standard grammar.

Take a few minutes and think about what these changes will mean in the classroom.  List 3 things you can do to assist your teachers in preparing for the new Language Arts, Writing Test.  Post your responses to the bulletin board.
