According to Lorraine Zinn, a researcher in the field of adult education, teachers first decide on the content and scope of what they will teach, then choose the method of instructional strategy with which to teach the materials. This method of instrucional strategy depends on the teacher's views about teaching and learning. Everyone has their own "philosophy" about teaching adults. Let's See What Your Philosophy Is! Complete the Philosophy of Adult Education Inventory (PAEI) Online: Do you agree with Zinn's Inventory? Create your own personal philosophy of good teaching. You may wish to write one phrase, a short paragraph or list your own “top requirements.” Post your philosophy to the bulletin board.
