The "Smart Classroom"

When teaching adult learners, we must make the physical, social and psychological environment of our classrooms as user friendly as possible.  Within the given constraints of our particular physical spaces, we can arrange the classroom to encourage positive learning and dialogue.

We must also remember that our adult students must successfully compete in the world of work and higher education.  The “smart classroom” or “e-classroom” are terms which are entering the educational arena.  The rapid expansion of technology means that we must create new opportunities for teaching and learning through integration of technology into our curriculum.
