Partnerships don't stop, however, when a business "signs-on." If you want to keep businesses active, you will need to actively promote the partnership. How can you do this?
  • Develop a network of success with partners
  • Establish successful job fairs - businesses need good employees and your students need good employers - maybe an internship would be a positive asset for your students and business partners
  • Recognize your partners in your newsletter
  • Send your partners newsletters on a regular basis
  • Provide flyers, pamphlets, etc. to your partners
  • Thank your partners for being a part of the Adult and Community Education family through thank-you notes, appreciation events, plaques or certificates of appreciation, or even gifts, such as a basket of flowers

Finally, join a local service club and/or the local Chamber of Commerce. There's nothing better for good public/community relationships than showing that you care through being a working member of a local group.
