Before you get down to work, put on those old jeans and t-shirt or your most comfortable clothes (assuming you're at home), pour yourself a cup of coffee and relax. This is going to be a very different way of participating in staff development!

Welcome to GED 2002 Making New Connections
The Sequel
Critical Thinking and Visual Processing
What Difference Does That Make in Social Studies, Science and Language Arts, Reading?

Nothing remains the same.  In education, we are always searching for new strategies that will work with our students.  GED 2002 - Making New Connections provided basic information about GED students, the test, GED programs, basic teaching strategies and special topics on ESOL, Learning Disabilities and Technology.  With the implementation of the new GED 2002, it is important that we are aware not only of the changes in the GED Tests, but also what types of strategies we will need to use in our classrooms. Making New Connections - The Sequel is a three- part training that will focus on specific teaching strategies for the GED 2002 Series Tests.  This sequel can be used independent of any other training.

However, the web-based production of GED 2002 - Making New Connections continues to be available if you need information on:

Like the original, Making New Connections - The Sequel is divided into different scenes.  Each scene has been designed as a 5-hour inservice component with part of your work completed on the Web and the remainder in your classroom or school.  This is a self-paced production.  You may wish to complete some or all of the scenes, depending on your own personal needs.  If you desire, you may also browse through any of the scenes for information.  The choice is yours.
