The following information is provided to give you, the GED administrator, some basic information about the GED 2002 Tests.

As the instructional leader of your program, you need to know and understand what your teachers and students will be facing as they work together to meet the challenges of the GED 2002 Tests.  This is not an in-depth review of the changes, but merely an overview.

GED 2002 Key Components

The GED 2002 Series Tests will cover subject matter in four areas:

• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Science
• Mathematics

The GED 2002 Series Tests will include:

• Language Arts, Writing
• Social Studies
• Science
• Language Arts, Reading
• Mathematics
