Component 4 If you have had an opportunity to participate in the onsite workshop, it is now time to put your new skills to work for your GED program. If you did not have an opportunity to attend a workshop, you should have reviewed the information on the PowerPoint slides as well as the GED 2002 resources. If you need to, briefly review the information included in Component 1, The Overview of Changes to the GED 2002. There are some significant changes that will take effect with the new series of tests. Teachers can benefit from the Internet, but often they do not have the time, or in some cases the skills, necessary to find sites they can use in the classroom. The final activity in this Digital Surround is to identify at least one new Internet site that can be used in the GED classroom for each of the five areas that will be included in the tests.
