The teamwork approach to which businesses and agencies are shifting makes these certain skills necessary: sharing, problem solving, and decision-making. These require strong communication skills.
The VPI Lab should provide for cooperative learning, allowing for interaction between two or more students, and developing and sharing ideas.

SCANS Competency: Gather and Use Information
VPI students learn the needed skills by using a variety of sources of
information: media center, computer, Internet, texts, and indexed booklets.
