Vocational
Preparatory Instruction Welcome to VPI - From Planning and Funding to Evaluation. If you are working in a VPI lab, there are many things you need to know in order to better serve your students. If you are in a new lab, or even if you work within an established VPI lab, it is important to have information on setting up labs, purchasing materials and supplies, identifying the types of students you will be serving, evaluating the effectiveness of the VPI program, securing funding, reporting student outcomes and receiving performance-based funding. This web-based training component has been designed to provide you with information on the planning, evaluation and funding mechanisms of the VPI lab. Initial program planning may not be necessary if you work in an established lab. However, evaluation, ongoing planning and funding are key elements in keeping your VPI program in operation. Just like students are different, each year also brings new information and sometimes legislation that needs to be integrated into your lab. If you are new to VPI, you may wish to access the Directory of Terms and Acronyms by clicking on the icon. This Directory will provide you basic information on the different terms that you may see within this web-based training. Dictionary of Terms and Acronyms Welcome back! If you wish to earn inservice points, log in where indicated below. If you do not wish to earn inservice points, but just wish to visit the site and hopefully pick up some useful information, then please log in as a guest.
