Celebrating Diversity

How culturally aware are you?  How aware are your students?  It is important that your students understand that celebrating cultural diversity can make a tremendous difference in their ability to succeed in school and on the job.

Cultural diversity brings a wide range of knowledge, experiences, customs and values to the workplace.  The sharing of these experiences and customs can greatly enhance the workplace by providing employers and employees with the opportunity to learn from and with each other.

There are no set rules for responding to ethnic, gender or cultural diversity.  However, it is important for everyone to be knowledgeable about differences, thoughtful and sensitive to what is best for others. Diversity, however, is not just about cultural differences.
