Your job as the learning manager in a VPI lab is to implement strategies that will help your students gain the workplace readiness skills that are so essential to continued success.  As the learning manager, you will need to help students:

  • Identify their career interests and aptitudes so they can make smart career choices
  • Apply SCANS competencies
  • Demonstrate skills that will help them obtain and retain employment

The difference between an individual who obtains and maintains employment often comes down to the Workplace Readiness skills he/she has.  As you continue through this web-based training component, you will have an opportunity to see what a difference Workplace Readiness can really make.
