* Welcome to the world of the GED (General Educational Development.)  This web-based training component has been designed to provide you with some basic information on the operation of a GED Program.

Although this training will not teach you everything you need to know to be an "Administrator of Excellence," it will give you information on:

  • State Board of Education rules that govern GED programs
  • Steps needed to implement a GED program
  • "VIPs" and their characteristics
  • Regular classrooms and  "smart classroom"
  • Traits of an "Administrator of Excellence"
Before we get started, there are two things you need to do.  First, if you wish to earn inservice points, log in as an administrator.  If you do not wish to earn inservice points, but just wish to visit the site and hopefully pick up some useful information, then please log in as a guest

Before you get started, you may wish to complete an orientation session.  The orientation session will introduce you to the different icons and symbols that you will encounter throughout this web-based training.  Click below to begin the orientation.
