Help!
* GED teachers must be able to:
  • handle a complex learning environment with students from diverse backgrounds and often with lots of “baggage”
  • understand the difference between teaching adults and teaching children
  • use technology to enhance student achievement and professional growth
  • relate to students
  • develop an exciting classroom with diverse materials and strategies that meet the needs of individual students
  • model professional work habits
  • diagnose students’ learning problems and identify solutions and appropriate materials
  • evaluate student progress
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • counsel students so that they continue to be motivated in pursuing their goals
  • provide large group or one-on-one instruction
  • be sensitive to cultural diversity and disabilities as well as varying socio-economic backgrounds
  • complete every task necessary to ensure programmatic and student success as well as professional development (the other duties as assigned phrase)
Now that you have the perfect teachers for your program, what does it take to have the perfect facility?
