* The real world in which we live uses technology extensively.  Technology is becoming a necessity for a GED classroom.  The "smart classroom" is one equipped with ceiling projectors, sound systems, computers, VCRs, laser disc players, slide projectors and/or overhead visualizers.  Although many of our GED classrooms do not currently have the capacity to be smart classrooms, it is important to begin using technology in the classroom.   Your support of technology as an important element of the instructional program will encourage your teachers to use it to assist students educationally and in preparation for the world of work.

Take a few moments to visualize a GED classroom in your area.   Is it a regular classroom or a smart classroom?  Does it meet the needs of your adult students.  What type of furnishings does it have?  Has the teacher "decorated" the classroom in a bright but adult manner?

Click below to link to the GED Administrators' Bulletin Board.  Take a few minutes and think about how you would design a GED classroom in your area.  Post your description to the bulletin board.
