* Accountability, Accountability, Accountability

Today, the watchword in education is accountability.  As a GED administrator, you are responsible for ensuring that your program contains all of the essential elements for success including, but not limited to:

  • A trained, professional staff of teachers, counselors and support personnel
  • An appropriate facility
  • Instructional materials and resources appropriate for adults
  • A method for evaluating the program
GED administrators are asked to do many jobs.  However, without taking the time to evaluate the program, the job is only half done.   Although it may seem that there is really no time between the paperwork, the data submission, dealing with students and obtaining materials and resources for teachers, etc., evaluation is the key to keeping a program on-track and focused on success.  This component has been designed to provide you with resources and information that will make that job just a little easier.

In this component you will learn:

  • How to use program data to determine student achievement levels
  • How to evaluate teacher performance
  • How to review program data before a state audit to minimize concerns

  •
