* For Your Information

Unfortunately, most programs conduct internal evaluations just before someone from the Auditor General’s office comes knocking on the door.  Evaluations should not occur once every three to five years.  Program evaluation should be a continuous process.  It should be something that provides you, the GED administrator, with constant feedback on how you are doing.  You cannot make the kinds of decisions that you are asked to make without accurate information.  It is also not fair to your students to remain in a situation where their learning is impeded by an instructor who is not prepared to carry out his/her job.  Think of evaluation as a “For Your Information” process that truly never ends.
