Generation of Heroes
http://www.knowitall.org/bellsouthdigitalstoryteller/interviews/index.html
The Generations of Heroes project is designed with a special urgency in mind.  We have the last opportunity to collect meaningful historical narratives from the people who lived through the era of World War II.  Those who fought in the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam are also an aging population. Now, we want to capture the stories of veterans of the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan while they are fresh in their memories. If we wait for historians and journalists to record these oral histories it won’t ever happen.  If we recruit students to work as historians and journalists we can create a digital record of enormous value to future generations.
