
The goal of the Professional Development and Teacher Credentialing Ad Hoc Committee is to review professional development (PD) activities and teacher credentialing to improve instruction of reading and mathematics across all educational functioning levels and to review and make recommendations to DOE on professional development activities to improve Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED), Adult High School (AHS), Vocational Preparatory Instruction (VPI), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction and review a credentialing process for adult education teachers.
The committee is working on the following tasks:
Evaluate & recommend action on Teacher Credentialing
Develop Best Practices for Distance Learning (DL) with AE, EL and PD programs.

Standards-Based Instruction Train-the-Trainer
GED Math Train the Trainer
Developing Regional Trainers
