The RTC is dedicated to providing professional development and technical support to educators working with adults in Family Literacy, Adult Basic Education, ESOL, Adult Secondary, GED, and Career and Technical Education programs within the following counties: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. This Project is designed to support the Region IV Training Council (RTC) as the facilitator of professional development services for adult educators serving the Region IV Adult Education System. "Adult educators" refers to all full-time and part-time teachers, volunteers, paraprofessionals, and all administrators and counselors of adult education and family literacy programs. The purpose of the RTC is to increase the capacity of Florida's adult education system and its regional personnel to innovate, apply new ideas, and enhance the effectiveness of professional development of adult educators. This state leadership project is funded by the Florida Department of Education Division of Workforce Development. For more information on the Region IV Regional Training Council, please contact: Marilyn Kline and Patricia Linder, Program Directors
